La (00:05)
Hello, we are back with another new episode of Lather Up with La.
Chanelle (00:10)
And Chanelle.
La (00:11)
Please pardon the storm and Miss Chanelle is traveling, so we are just work with us.
Chanelle (00:20)
Indeed, we do this for you wherever we may be, said
La (00:23)
Correct. And not a lot of news this week in the soap
Chanelle (00:29)
No
La (00:30)
world.
Chanelle (00:31)
If anything, we've been making our own news.
La (00:34)
Yes. How so?
Chanelle (00:36)
Well, I had the wonderful opportunity to head down to the ATL Atlanta for our international listeners. If you don't know, now you know. And I highly recommend checking out Downtown Atlanta because that is where I met Karla Mosley and Ambry Michelle, aka
Dani Dupree, and Eva Thomas
was beautiful.
Dani, aka Karla, I had to thank her for her long and illustrious soap career. I'm talking about from the guiding light days. I'm talking about as Maya Avant. I I it was a wonderful time. Got to hug and take pictures with them both. We we gotta post this somewhere.
La (01:25)
Yes, look for our Instagram page. We will share those lovely photos of Miss Chanelle with the stars of Beyond the Gates. But we will not start in the DMV this week. This week a little pepper was sprinkled in Port Charles. First, we have a verdict.
Curtis Ashford, you will be in Pentonville. I'm sorry, sir, your antics did not sway a jury. It was determined that he was found guilty of assault of Isaiah, and he will be in Pentonville for no less than two years, but at maximum ten. So he will miss.
The early, early stages of his new son's life. And what made me laugh was Isaiah after hearing the verdict, and of course, Portia is devastated, but he has the audacity to be like, I wanted justice. I didn't want to ruin his life. when you went to criminal court to file criminal charges looking for him to go to jail, you said it numerous times.
And then when it finally happens, the guilt kicked in.
Chanelle (02:53)
It really did. And it was one of those things where if you're gonna be about it, be about it. Because they were talking all big and we even realized that now Isaiah's saying he might be able to get his hand in working condition to perform surgeries again. So through all of this, to only find out that you got the guilty verdict that you wanted, to be like, I said, I know already that.
Desmond's too young to know about his father. But Trina? I don't know if Trina will ever let this man find rest.
La (03:29)
it would be my new mission to be a music star, which apparently is what she wants to be. And every time I'm with Desmond, I will remind him who his father is and who his father ain't. Your father is not here because of that man right there, little boy. Don't ever forget how terrible he made our lives because he was petty and he was vindictive and
as opposed to just being the bigger man. And your mama was no help either.
Chanelle (03:57)
And you know,
I'm not a big fan of Curtis, but I was like 10 years. My guy, you should have taken that plea deal expeditiously.
La (04:05)
Everybody said it. Everybody was like, plead deal. He really was blindly confident, which is so ridiculous.
Chanelle (04:13)
The audacity behind so much hope. I think that this might be the wake up call that Curtis really needs. It was a little jarring to see them read the verdict and get the sentencing and then Portia go home be like, what are we gonna do? I'm like, don't fall into arms now. Like, let's not do all that. It's like they were waiting at home.
La (04:33)
Yeah, Hat Daddy was like, I'm here
for you, but he did give her a side eye. He was just like, We just gonna be there for Desmond. But
yeah, she Yeah.
Chanelle (04:41)
Well, yeah, where's my son gonna be? Like, hello.
La (04:44)
Luckily he got forty eight hours before they took him so he could hang out with his kid, but that ain't, you know, two e two two to ten. Yeah.
Chanelle (04:51)
And I don't know how Stella gon' do. Ooh.
La (04:54)
I mean, now who's gonna run Aurora? Like there's so much messed up now.
Chanelle (05:00)
Again, it was deliciously soapy, but I was not expecting the fallout. I mean, even
La (05:07)
Yes.
Chanelle (05:07)
down to what when you think about it, we're like Molly even gave a look like, you know, I'm sorry, had to do what I had to
La (05:13)
Yes.
Chanelle (05:14)
do because she couldn't do anything when it came to Sidwell because Sidwell was smart enough to take a damn plea deal.
La (05:20)
If yes, if a notorious criminal in the business world took a plea deal, d you know, Curtis, maybe you should have heeded the warnings as well.
Chanelle (05:31)
At least thought about it, my guy.
La (05:33)
Yes. And then the other revelation was Kai and Trina have finally fessed up to Michael. All that they know that Willow did. It all began when Gio forgot some sheet music that he was supposed to take to meet with Trina. He goes back to the Quartermaine home. Willow has marched in there. I have taken a blood test at General Hospital to prove.
That your hooker girlfriend Jacinda drugged me. She could have drugged Wiley because he went for my same little coffee drink and you orchestrated the whole thing, Michael Corinthos. He was like, I sure didn't. I don't know what you're talking about. She's like, you know, and I'm here to take full custody without any court order, without any documentation, just my word as a congresswoman, that I should have the kids now because you and Jacinda are dangerous.
And he's like, what? And Gio was trying to sneak out. And Willow was like, no, no, no, no. We need a witness for all that I'm about to pour out right now. And Gio's like, I really don't want to be a part of this, please. And she just going on and on about how devilish Michael is and how horrible Jacinda is and how they just d always go after her and da da da. And finally Gio was like, you know, they both are screaming at each other. He jumps in the middle. He's like, hey.
I gotta go. So he leaves. And he leaves, to meet up with Trina and Kai, and they're like, he's like, Y'all, I just had the most crazy experience. Willow busted in on Michael at the house and was accusing him of drugging her, and says that she will do everything in her power to make sure that he never sees his children again. And that's all Trina had to hear, especially after hearing the verdict about her daddy.
She's like, I'm not keeping nobody's kids from nobody's father. So she and Kai go over to the Quartermaines and they're like, we gotta talk to you, Michael. And he's like, what about? And they spill the beans. They're like, we were there the night that Drew was shot. We were in another room. We heard a phone go off. We heard this twinkle-twinkle little star.
ringtone and we didn't know who it was, but it was right after the shooting. And then the last day of court when the jury was deliberating, we heard it again and it was Willow who picked up and she told us herself that it was Wiley's ringtone. And Michael was like that's a lot. That's a lot. why are you telling me this now? And Trina confesses, I can't let Willow, knowing what she did, take those children from you.
He's like, that's all I need to hear. He gets them to sign an affidavit. We are definitely under the influence that it was not Alexis because we know that she don't want to do nothing to piss off Drew or Willow. So she must not have been the lawyer that he used. He used another one. And he gets them to sign and say that they are willing to testify that Willow most likely did shoot Drew in the back twice. So she comes over there, you know, puffing her chest. She's like, I'm ready for my kids.
And he's like, Well, there's been a change of plans. Cause he had told her, You can come take the kids for the rest of the week and then we can discuss what happens after that. Because he just was trying to calm her down when she came in like a gangbuster when Gio was there. So when she comes back, she's like, I'm here to take the kids. He was like, Change of plans, I'm gonna keep And you're gonna stay with me. And she's like, The hell I am. He's like, The hell you aren't. Here's what's happening. I know.
For sure that you shot Drew. And she's like, whatever, I was acquitted, like, doesn't matter. That does not carry over to family court. And I have receipts. I have witnesses that are willing to testify that they witnessed you doing it. And she like got a little thrown and she's like, who is it? And Michael shockingly told who his witnesses were, which I was so surprised.
I was like, you just put bullseyes on their head. He was like, Trina and Kai. I'm like, no, just say I know and I got receipts. You ain't got to give her all the info. But he
Chanelle (09:53)
True.
La (09:53)
did, stupidly. And she is thrown. And then she even grabs a rolling pin and is about to strike him. He's like, nah, nope,
Chanelle (10:01)
Yeah.
La (10:02)
nope, nope. Ain't gonna be none of that. He was like, You ain't gonna try to kill me like you did Drew. What you are gonna do is move into the boathouse and that way you can see the kids. Cause when I spoke.
To you when you were all drugged up. You said that you missed being friends and Wiley was so excited when I said that we could hang out as a family soon. So we're gonna do that on a regular basis for the kids. And you are gonna be in the boathouse. I can keep an eye on you, you can hang out with the kids, and you can't bitch anymore. You will have access to your children and I will have my eyes on you because you, madam, have done too much.
And she is just like, Look, I got stuff on you with the drug. He was like, You ain't got nothing on me. He was like, What they would say if this drug test does come back, is that you, you know, had a moment with some recreational drugs as a congresswoman. That's what they gonna say. Because you don't have any evidence. Jacinda's gone and so is the coffee cup. Who are you gonna believe?
Chanelle (10:58)
Ugh. Again, it's been nearly a year since all of this went down. And for it just to kind of come out of nowhere where finally Trina and Kai had enough, I was like, so far this is what I needed. With action being taken and Willow probably gonna spiral because now she has to go back. Let Nina know, change your plans. The fact that
La (11:24)
Again.
Chanelle (11:25)
Brennan
Was trying to help her so much, so this is gonna open up a wider net of ma'am, too much dip on your chip. You were flying too close to the sun. Now look at ya.
La (11:36)
You were doing too much. You were trying too hard. And Nina has said time and time again, since the awakening of Drew, calm yourself. Be thankful. You are now divorcing him. you and Michael seem to be okay right now. And he's giving you 50 50 on the kids. What more do you want? I want it all. This is the prime time for me. I'm a
Congresswoman. I don't have Drew anymore, so Michael can't hold that over my head. And I deserve to punish him the way he punished me. He punished you because you had Drew in your life, not because it was you. And she just doesn't see it. She wants vengeance. And she was like, My goal is to make sure Michael never ever sees his children again. And now she's stuck having to see Michael every day. But the other issue is Tracy,
Chanelle (12:26)
Go ahead.
La (12:27)
Tracy.
Tracy was like, You realize it's my house. You can't just move any old body in and I definitely don't want Willow here because my granddaughter, Brook Lynn just shipped this crazy woman off of her and her husband's back. They just have a child now, they've adopted. The last thing Chase needs to see every day is the woman who wants him, other than his wife. Michael. Think about this. He was like, I gotta have this. I need it. She's like, Can't you just turn her in? And
He, you know, begs and pleads and pleads and begs and finally Tracy succumbs. But n this comin' week, Brook Lynn gonna find out and you know she gonna be in a tizzy.
Chanelle (13:08)
Well deserved because even though Chase has been on the up and up, you never know when it comes to Willow. So it's gonna be good. I feel like this is what I needed as we get into the fall season. And again, no one in Port Charles is safe. And that includes the ones who are locked up because now with Sidwell and his plea deal, he's going to prison. So all of his assets are up for grabs. And it's not just Sonny who's looking at him.
We have Valentin and Drew
La (13:42)
Yeah, apparently he had all the real estate, all the businesses. Of course, Sonny wants his piers. Drew wants the piers to keep Sonny from getting hold of them again. And Valentin just wants as much as he can buy.
Chanelle (13:56)
It's so true.
La (13:58)
Yes. And then you have Jason just wandering. He's a nomad now because he's no longer part of Sonny's mob ties, which is hilarious to me. Both him and Sonny crack me up because just because you say you're out of the mob, don't mean you out of the mob. You all don't think you have people who are like, I remember when you destroyed my family. I remember when you assassinated my sister. I'm coming for you.
Just because you're not doing it anymore doesn't mean that the people who still are don't remember what you've done. So
Chanelle (14:29)
Yeah.
La (14:29)
it's just a matter of seconds before somebody's gonna go after both of them, if not at least one. And they're gonna have to go back to their old ways. Because Sonny said this past week to the ADA, just letting you know, I am going to be
legal with just messing with my coffee and I'm gonna buy the stuff from you know what Sidwell has left behind and I'm not gonna do anything illegal anymore. And she's like I can't really be excited about that because you still got you still got dirt on your hands. You still have dirt
Chanelle (15:04)
Yay. That's part.
La (15:07)
to your name, sir. You did not change your name. You've just decided. Like that's like a serial killer being like this my last one.
there's still bodies though. You still killed a bunch of people. So for you to just
Chanelle (15:18)
So true, so true.
La (15:20)
stop doesn't mean that your crimes have been erased. So just wait. It'll be a matter of time before one of them and of course they're doing it because all of a sudden now they're like, you know, I got kids and grandkids and I gotta keep them safe, even though Sonny has already lost almost two kids and Jason is
barely raising one because Danny is still doing dumb stuff. Charlotte, I have to admit with Dante, Charlotte is not a good influence because
Chanelle (15:50)
Yeah.
La (15:51)
Danny wants to be a part of Scout's life. Drew is telling any and everybody who will listen, Danny is a bad seed and it's because of his father. And I don't ever ever want my daughter being around her brother or any of her mother's
Family. They're just not good because they didn't follow my instructions when I was in locked in syndrome. And I'm like, I'm sorry, you ain't you couldn't say nothing. So what we gonna do? But right, so
Chanelle (16:18)
Like listening to your wife.
La (16:20)
Charlotte goes, Well, maybe we can figure out a way to make Drew look bad. And Danny was like, You mean look for something he's done illegal? And Charlotte goes, or make something up. I'm like, Whoa, whoa, little girl. You are sinister.
Chanelle (16:35)
she's dangerous.
She get it from her daddy and her mama.
La (16:39)
Yes, Dante told you. Lulu, watch your girl. She ain't right. so Danny still not behaving, even with Jason out of the mob for what, two days? and Carly tried to give him options. He fixed her car at the house and she's like, Well, maybe you can open a garage. Nah.
Maybe you can do head of security at my hotel Nah. Maybe you can work for the Quartermaines. Now me, nah. Because you have no you have no skills. I mean, you can negotiate like business stuff for Sonny, but if they don't sign on the dotted line, then you threaten to shoot Can't do that in the corporate world, sir. So I say you run a garage, you do the motorcycles and the cars like you do. He has Sonny has a garage that he
had for Sasha's old husband. So you can use that one. It's still there, I'm sure. And just run your own business, I think that's perfect for him. I don't know what he's looking for, but I don't think he should be at the Quartermaine business end. He walked away from that years ago, never came back. Don't try to do it now. you too long in the tooth.
To start over like that.
Chanelle (17:53)
Yeah, it's starting to give midlife crisis and it's like I understand you want to do better for your son, but while you're doing this and exploring your options, where is Danny? Still getting in trouble. Make it make sense, sir.
La (18:07)
And then you still have Anna trying to figure out a way to kill Britt because Britt is the last remaining tie to Faison and the Peter August, you know, in her brain, yeah.
Chanelle (18:23)
I'm tired of Peter. So tired of him.
La (18:26)
Ugh. Britt requested Anna help her help her mother.
By letting her know where Cassius's body is. She was like, My mom would like to have a funeral. She would like to properly say goodbye. The least the WSB can do is give us that information. And since you used to be an agent, you can help. And she refused at first, but then Peter got in her ear and he was like, That's a golden opportunity. If you help her, then she'll have to do something for you and you can take her out. And it's just so not Anna.
I know Anna has had mental breaks before, but this is one of the worst because you just tried to kill a innocent girl now. It's weird.
Chanelle (19:10)
Yeah, it's funny to say Britt and innocent in the same sentence, but
at this
La (19:14)
Yeah.
Chanelle (19:14)
point she's been trying to do better. And this was also the week that she finally got to connect again with Rocco and be like, by the way, I don't have Huntington's disease. Things are better. My bad. Whew, dodged a bullet there. Like I'm like, it's been weeks. Yeah. I
La (19:31)
I'ma live, it's a miracle.
Chanelle (19:32)
was like, nobody you could have texted him that. no, you can't because Lulu still has you blocked. Like it's like poor thing.
La (19:38)
Yeah.
Chanelle (19:39)
So
So much has been going on with so little time. But my thing with Anna, I just want her better because Port Charles really needs her and everyone else is floundering. You you even have me questioning my favorite spy Joss and and trying to be a an entrepreneurial businesswoman because of her dad. I'm like, I what is going on? How many secrets must still be revealed? And if Anna is still talking to Peter, I don't think they'll ever get resolved in a timely fashion.
La (20:10)
So, either. All right, let's head to the DMV Beyond the Gates, where Bill is still hemmed up in the hospital. And Hayley, I feel like her and Randy's plan is really in jeopardy now. Not that it was going great from the beginning,
Chanelle (20:28)
Mm-hmm.
La (20:28)
but you have this man who now suffered an actual heart attack, had to get a pacemaker put in.
He is definitely gonna be watched even more because he was not having any heart issues before, but now he does. You have to keep an eye on him. And even Joey Armstrong came to visit and was like, Dog, maybe you want a second opinion. Because you went from perfectly healthy to now you have a pacemaker, something ain't right. And that's now that he's under watchful eye at the hospital, finally, he can't be given.
any of the drops that Hayley has so generously given him in every meal and every beverage he's had. Unless she puts it in his IV, how are you gonna get him set up now? You're not going to St. Bart's. You are stuck in the DMV unless you just kill him yourself hand to hand combat. Like there's no
Chanelle (21:27)
Ha ha.
La (21:28)
people are watching him now. The family's watching him they all suspect that Hayley is cheating on him anyway.
So they're keeping an eye on her, they're keeping an eye on Randy slash Sammy. They're keeping an eye on Bill. Like, I just don't see how she's gonna try to pull this off now.
Chanelle (21:46)
you're right. It it's a hard kind of position she's put herself in. And it's one of those things where it's like she doesn't realize how close she was. If Caroline was not there when Bill stopped at the office to grab some things and passed out heart stopping, he would have been a goner. And I just wish they had Bill moving a little bit more discreetly against his wife, because through it all, you finally agree you're going to St. Bart's.
You didn't question why all of your like schedule was already changed, as good as Caroline is. You wouldn't been like, wait a minute, how how did you know? Hayley told me, you know, yesterday or day before that you were gonna be going and like question this type of stuff.
La (22:30)
Right, 'cause you hadn't agreed to it till what, twenty minutes earlier.
Chanelle (22:34)
So when she's like, Hayley called, and I'm like, you think Caroline moves that fast? It's like, okay, all right, Bill. And through it all, he has these moments where we think he's about to change or he's annoyed with Hayley, but then he goes right back. But I still say when he was knocking on desk door, who's the first person he wanted to talk to? Dani.
La (22:56)
Dani
Chanelle (22:58)
It's this kind of tango that they're weaving of.
It's like they're your ex, but you still want them. You have this secret together, this burning desire to be together. Even when you say that you hate each other, you still love each other and the indifference is not there. To the point that even Dani got a little bit more headstrong this week to say, Hayley, not only are you a terrible replacement for me, secondary at best, that I deserve to be here because he is my husband.
In front of her whole family minus Andre.
La (23:37)
It was quite a jolt. Everybody like clutched the pearls, like, what'd she say? And to double down, Bill, like you said, called her when he first woke up to come to the room. And what does he do? Apologize. Because, like you said, he was knocking on death's door and he was like, I don't wanna go to heaven or hell until I've made right with Dani. And you're like, goodness. If she wa like
Like you said, they're so interwoven in each other's lives that they really can't tear apart. Like they have different spouses now. They're trying to have separate lives and something always pulls them back into each other's orbit. And it's dangerously close right now because the fear of losing him was too much for her to bear. And again, she was acting more of a wife than Hayley was. Hayley performed, but you could tell Dani was.
Genuine.
Chanelle (24:36)
Mm. That's so true. I just
La (24:37)
It was it was upsetting.
Chanelle (24:41)
I mean, even to the point where the family is having talks behind her back, where it's like, you heard that right? You you heard that? let's get her away from Hayley and talk about are you good? Andre, he's a good man, Savannah. Andre is good for you. Like, you need to, you know, what are you doing? Why are you here with Bill? And
Through all of this, Andre's starting to pick up on how close Dani is getting to the situation. And no matter how many times she tells people just because her daughters need her, even as Hayley points out, these are grown women and you are still too close for comfort.
La (25:22)
Well, it got worse because when he did hear about something happening at the hospital, Chelsea, in her manic state about her father, said the wrong thing. Mom is in the hospital. So he came running with a vengeance, trying to figure out why is his wife in the hospital. And she was like, No, I meant she's at the hospital, not in it, because my dad got sick again. And
First thing out of Andre's mouth is like, why didn't she text me to tell me something happened? And he's like, Well, where is she? And that's when unfortunately he came in the same time that Bill had requested her presence in the room. And he's like, Of course, she's by Bill's side, and I'm looking at Hayley sitting over there with Leslie. Right.
Chanelle (26:11)
You and head
let's damn girl. You y you on the outside too?
La (26:17)
Right. So he was like, How the hell am I looking at Bill's wife right now when my wife is by his side? Somebody make that make sense.
Chanelle (26:26)
Look, and even in the hospital, that did not stop Andre from confronting Bill and being like, You got your own wife. Leave mine alone. She knows where home is and everything else. And I'm like, if you do not stop antagonizing this man, Bill has so
La (26:40)
Got his pressure up. Got his pressure up.
Chanelle (26:43)
many times, like even when goading Andre, eventually he's just gonna be look, that's why I slept with your wife. That's why she want that old thing back.
La (26:48)
It's coming out. I've it is so
gonna come out.
Chanelle (26:52)
And it gets closer and closer because while they were talking about it, Hayley was coming down the hallway and I was afraid that she might eventually overhear.
La (27:01)
Me too.
Chanelle (27:02)
So we need Bill to rest up and recover, and I still don't know why out of all this is happening, that's when you decide to send Madison away. Come on now. She has to get better interwoven with her family and in-laws. This could have been her time to shine and
Here she was what overseas or something. I know she hopped on the plane.
La (27:22)
Yeah, she had gone to Amsterdam, I think, or whatever.
Chanelle (27:25)
And it's like, okay, we're we're still missing the plot line when it comes to that. We want to see them in love and still planning what they have going on. But through it all, like you said, even Joey popped up and Bill, there's moments where you forget that he's just such a a brute sometimes, where it's like, when dad mode, when he
Even him and with Kat, calling Kat of all people to try to get him a sandwich from Orphrey Gene's. Why, sir, when you know the hospital food is supposed to be heart healthy for you and you still get your your niece, who will always be your niece no matter what, as you keep telling her to get you some illegal contraband food wise.
La (28:11)
And it got absconded by Hayley. And she's like, Why are you trying to kill my husband? And Kat is like, I'm just here for him. And right, right. Mm-hmm.
Chanelle (28:21)
Yeah, sh trying to kill him like you? I'm like Kat be giving the smoke.
Hayley, Dana, Leslie, everybody getting it who deserves it.
La (28:30)
Even
Jacob got some smoke because they were talking outside And she's like, Did you skip observance class in when you were at the academy? Because come on now.
Chanelle (28:42)
Yeah, and again, Randy be Randying and because every other day and moment it's like him and Hayley have to call for a phone check or meet in person. I'm like, You all aren't helping your cause to the point that he was upset with her when she told him that Bill was in the hospital and he's like, I told you, you're making this more difficult than it needs to be. We were trying to get him to St. Barch 'cause we know a guy who was gonna help us and I'm like, so you're bringing more people into this scheme. Gotcha. But while he's talking
and telling her this over the phone in Orphrey Gene's Joey Armstrong hears him do that too. And I need people to like start putting more and more together. And if anything, at this point, Joey might be the one who's closest to putting it all together.
La (29:27)
But I'm kind of disappointed in Joey because when he first had somebody observing Randy and realized that Randy and Hayley were hanging out a little too much, I thought he was going to bite onto that and be like, let me really, really research these two, because Randy swears up and down that he's not cheating with her. I have made a commitment now to Bill because remember a week ago, Bill asked.
Joey, if anything happens to me, I need you to make sure my family's well taken care of. So that's a huge ask of somebody considered a mob king in the DMV, but he's your buddy. So I just presume that he would eventually already know that they're related. But if he does, he hasn't let that out yet. But I'm just confused on why it's taking so long. Obviously, they're both from Philly.
Go to Philly, find out what neighborhood they lived at, and start doing research.
Chanelle (30:31)
True. But then again, Joey has bigger things to deal with. Like Heather, who came back to town,
La (30:36)
Heather.
Chanelle (30:37)
and I have to say it because I love saying it. We were right. We called it.
La (30:44)
She is apparently the person who's been stalking Andre with a burner phone of some sort, but she keeps harassing him over the phone. Hey, I want to see you. Hey, I miss you. Hey, I'm behind you. Kidding? And he is got his head on a swivel now. He's very anxious. It's all been from that champagne.
That they got as a belated wedding congratulation gift. He ain't been right since he saw that note that didn't have a signature. And it was revealed on Friday that Heather is the person that he had some sort of connection, relationship, situationship. We don't know, but there was a time in his past that they were close, and now that Heather has made an effort to be friendly with Dani.
Of course she's being friendly with her brother's girlfriend Vanessa, who just happens to be super close to the Dupree sisters. She's like, I know who you're married to and I can blow it up at any time.
Chanelle (31:48)
She really is. Look, and I love with her interactions with Vanessa at this point. Got Vanessa drunk. And here Vanessa thought that they were bonding and just throwing back shots. No, Heather was smart enough to put her shots in a bucket and avoid detection from Vanessa. I'm
La (32:02)
Yes, didn't drink I don't even think she drank a drop.
Chanelle (32:05)
like, this is the kind of not only sister, but like OG kind of boss mentality. She's really keeping Joey on his toes, and I like it.
La (32:17)
Yeah.
Chanelle (32:18)
Still love Joey though.
La (32:19)
he has said so many times now since her first arrival, Vanessa, I need you not to snuggle up to my sister. She has tendencies. She can be problematic. She can be sneaky. She can be a problem. I got my eye on her. I need you to have an eye on her. She's a good girl. She's fun.
She loves you. I didn't say she didn't, but I don't trust
Chanelle (32:49)
Yeah.
La (32:50)
her at all. So if I don't trust her, what you doing trusting her?
Chanelle (32:54)
That part. I mean, at this point it's it's the proverbial line of she's a killer, Bella. Like come on, like like you really just need to listen to Joey and we know Vanessa's not going to. So whatever happens, we're gonna let it the chips fall where they may.
La (33:11)
Mm.
Chanelle (33:12)
It is, it is what it is. but I also give her time because while Vanessa's getting drunk, she has duality because she's also enjoying her time with Deanna, who she called him her boyfriend or friend, if you will. But I'm like, okay, her and Noah are getting closer. We finally heard him pick up the guitar and play a few lines and Deanna, even though Ghost Daddy has her on a mission, is still smitten. So
La (33:40)
She
is, but I question now that Leslie has gotten into his head. I'm concerned that he's gonna be rude to Miss Anita or maybe even Nicole and that could cause a problem with Kial and Nicole. I hope that he uses his own best judgment. And another person who doesn't know how to use judgment, that would be Tomas.
Tomas just cannot get a handle on his fear that Naomi is coming to take over the reins if and when something happens to Bill Hamilton. And it cracks me up because every time he sees her in the office, I have to ask, what you doing in the office, sir? What you doing here? You have an office. Naomi is working on a case with her father. Why is she not allowed to be in there, but you are allowed to question every time she is?
And with some stank, like, I didn't know you were taking over or look who's back again. It's like sir, maybe if you were more focused on what cases you are working on and how good you're doing, you wouldn't have time to be so worried about what Naomi's doing all the time.
Chanelle (34:55)
That's true. And we got a little bit more insight because Caroline says she's not a big fan of Tomas. especially after him getting the junior partnership title. Basically, Tomas has been a big Tomass. So, like, I really don't know where we need to go with this because it's like we're seeing a different side with him when it comes to Naomi. Caroline has confirmed to Naomi that he's not always the nicest.
to some of the legal people in the office who he thinks are beneath him. And then he has Kat where he's like, Maybe you could talk to your cousin, you know, just let her know And Kat's like, Whoa, whoa, I don't pick sides. he's like, I'm not I'm not asking you to pick sides. I I'm just saying I you know, the impression I I'm trying to do b I'm like, mm-hmm, our eyes are on you, Tomas. And I don't know what you got back and what was in the water in Puerto Rico, sir, but
We watching
La (35:54)
We are definitely watching and in my mind Kat is in love with the idea of Tomas, the idea of being with a partner. But I don't truly feel she's in love with him because she has to see the red flags and she's ignoring them. The whole issues with Naomi. The issues with I'm a man, so I have to be paying for everything, even though you have money. Of course nobody wants to sponge off of their partner, but
He's so kind of Neanderthalish about it. And I just feel like, you know, he proposed to you and you turned him down in front of your entire family. You should really self assess. Do I want to spend the rest of my life with this man? Because we're not living together. We've both tried it twice. He tried to make her live with him. She tried to have him live with her.
You know, you tried to get engaged, that didn't work. You know that he slept with your half sister. you're pretty much in my eye in a DMV Duchess. You don't need this. You don't need the straggler. Like he got his own mental issues. He's cute, maybe he can salsa a tad, but there's got to be better.
Chanelle (37:12)
Yeah, I feel like it's the machismo thing where it's like,
La (37:14)
Yes.
Chanelle (37:15)
as the man and you know, I am the one helping back in Puerto Rico. And I'm like, sir, we get it. your family put a lot of pressure on you and you want to succeed in life. But if you don't know how to get in good with the Duprees, you need to figure it out because every time he is around, he's not giving a betterment for for our girl Kat.
And I'm like,
La (37:36)
No.
Chanelle (37:37)
at this point, she might need a new man. And while she might not like her half sister, at least Izaiah is working and trying to be a better partner and understand where Eva's coming from, especially with this scar situation.
La (37:51)
Don't get me started on the scar. The scar that we still haven't seen that's so hideous and upsetting and terdible that she can barely function as a human. I don't again, you have had surgery, what, three weeks ago? It's not gonna be healed. And even when it does heal, there's no guarantee that they're gonna be able to fix it. I'm used to wearing mid drift. If that's your biggest issue, you need to come to grips, girl.
Chanelle (38:22)
That's true. Look, I try to understand it. I told Ambry, look, I was like, look, am I team Kat? Yes. But do I completely hate Eva? No. Does she have some moments where I'm like, girl, get it together. You are beautiful inside and out. Yes. But does she upset me when mama comes to the scene? Hell to the yes. So again, I I I want her to eventually, and I think she's starting to realize, at least that Izaiah loves her. Once we get past this.
hiccup in her life. then we can go on to the bigger things. And, you know, her and Kat were at least cordial to each other in Ophrey Gene's. I consider that a step in the right direction.
La (39:03)
Absolutely. And I know for a fact a lot of people who've had scars, just like people who've had mastectomies or whatever, they tattoo the scar tissue once it's healed. She could tattoo it. Put a tattoo on your stomach. If you're that pressed about people seeing the scar, make it into a tattoo. All all is well. You'll be fine. But she get on my nerve. She can on my nerve.
Chanelle (39:26)
Yeah. I'm here for.
Again, th actin is actin'. Let Emmy nominations continue to fly.
La (39:35)
Yes, yes. All right, let's go to bold and the beautiful. In LA, there is a big problem by the name of Sheila. This woman has made it her mission to destroy Finn and his marriage. And Finn has allowed it, rolled out the red carpet for it because he sat on the plane with her from LA to Monaco.
Demands that she goes back home, but doesn't make sure she does. He runs, catches Steffy just in time for the bells to ring and for them to reunite on the anniversary of the day that they reunited when she thought her husband was dead and he actually was alive because his mama is Queen Frankenstein and loves to bring people back to life. And it was a beautiful moment. And then they go to the beach, and who is at the beach? Finn's mother.
She already watched them from afar reunite in front of the church, which was creepy enough. And I'm pretty sure never been to Monaco, but I'm almost positive that at all airports there are eateries there. No, no. This woman wanted to eat on the beach because she had time before her flight. And in doing so, she's at the exact beach that Steffy and Finn are. They're walking past. He notices her. She throws a towel over her head, but misses the more distinctive
thing about her which is the only having eight toes. Steffy spots it immediately and is like, Sheila, are you in Monaco? Why? And Finn lets it slip. I told her to go home. Wait, wait, wait, wait. You mean you knew she was here? I flew on the plane with her. Whoa, whoa, you bought her a ticket. I can buy her a ticket now. She bought her own ticket, found out that I was going
Followed me here. I told her to go home. But I mean, she has changed. It's not the worst thing if we reconsider. And for the 50th time, Steffy reminds him she shot me. She shot you. She shot my mama. She is not to be trusted. And I have told you this so many times till I'm blue in the face. She took her ring off. She was like, We are done. Stay with your mama. She literally said, Stay with your mama.
Chanelle (42:02)
She did.
La (42:02)
I've had it.
And she goes and gets the first flight out of Monaco. Don't tell her daddy. Don't tell nobody. Just rolls. So we got Finn running around Monaco like a chicken with his head cut off, looking for his wife. He done gone back to the church. He done gone back to the hotel. He busted on a meeting between Brook, Ridge, and a very important client. Have you seen Steffy?
They're like, what are you talking about? I thought she was with you. No. we kind of got in a fight over Sheila. And Ridge is like, I know you lying. No, you didn't.
Chanelle (42:37)
Ha ha ha.
La (42:39)
And he did. And so while flying back, Steffy gets very drunk. She is drinking vodka, champagne, wine, whiskey, any and all that they have on that cart. She guzzling. And in doing so.
they have to wake her up when they land. Like Miss Forrester or what Miss Finnegan, you good? She's like, Yeah, Miss Forrester.
Chanelle (43:03)
Like no, she's still Miss Forrester, like they're like
La (43:06)
And she's all groggy. So instead of going home, which I think she should have done because Finn ain't flying back yet, she goes to the office and unfortunately she finds a drunk Carter. And why is Carter drunk, you ask?
For the 30th time, has lost the woman in his life. Daphne has decided she cannot go on in this marriage if she cannot procreate. I don't know why. They haven't even celebrated their year anniversary and she is done. She's like, I'm going back to France. I can't give you what you need. Honestly, the way she phrased it was the only reason we married was not for love.
But because of the love of wanting to be parents. And since we can't pull that off, we can't make this work. So you're telling me outright, Carter, we have no foundation. It was family or bust and we are bust. So Yes. And I'm like,
Chanelle (44:02)
It's like au revoir. Like it really was.
La (44:06)
you really didn't love this man. You couldn't have if this is all it took. Like, you know, what is it? Through sickness and health, do death do us part. She ain't even get
Chanelle (44:15)
Rich or poor?
La (44:16)
None of that. She was like, if I can't care of a child, I can't be with you. So she's like, and don't try to follow me. So she leaves. He drinks all the good liquor at Forrester, finds another bottle of liquor, and is about to take that down when drunky McDrunk Steffy comes in and is like, Finn did me dirty again over his stupid mama. And Carter puts his hand on her shoulder and she's weeping on the couch.
The couch that many have slept on. Hint hint.
Chanelle (44:47)
Well yeah.
La (44:49)
The community couch. So one thing leads to another and they look at each other's eyes. And that's how it ended on Friday. And I'm like, Lord, please don't. I don't know which would be worse.
Chanelle (45:00)
No
La (45:01)
What would be worse? Carter and Steffy sleeping together or Carter s and Steffy sleeping together and she gets knocked up. Lord have mercy.
Chanelle (45:11)
They are just foul. And I'm like, Casey, Brad, this is where we're going. One, Steffy has only one real friend who was not a family member. And I was this is what she's gonna do to her. Even if Daphne was to stay in France for a whole year, you don't sleep with your best friend's husband. Yeah, she put him on
the shelf, but then it's like.
Look, when she offered the embryo, I ain't think she was gonna do it the old fashioned way. Like, ma'am, no. No, no, no. And and at one point in life, I wouldn't have minded Carter and Steffy getting together. He's used
La (45:49)
Yes.
Chanelle (45:50)
up, she has a husband. Like, stop this. This would be like the second, and at least the second married woman that he slept with. And it's like you
Like you can't be a writer on the show and putting your character through this kind of hell. My guy, come on.
La (46:06)
Yes, it's bad. It will
be terrible. And what if Daphne goes back to France, her family, who we've never seen, tells her, Look, pull yourself together. You got a good man's Savannah. And she comes back rejuvenated. She has rethought the situation. I do love you and we can withstand this. Now you gonna look at her and be like, But I just slept with your best friend though.
Chanelle (46:32)
Like eventually you're gonna have to tell her one drunken hookup because Carter Walton. Like I just expected better from you. And Lawrence St. Victor, if we're supposed to ride or die with Carter, he still has to build up because he pissed me off after the takeover. So this is just another feather in that terrible
La (46:49)
That is the other thing.
Chanelle (46:51)
cap.
La (46:51)
That is exactly the thing. I was like, I don't care how drunk I am, Steffy. I will never forget that this man colluded with my enemy Hope to take my company. The sexiness left the building the moment you took our company. I will not mess with you no more. I don't care how much you work it out. I don't care how tight them shirts are. No, I cannot be.
With you after what you did to my family. I'll never forget. Never forget.
Chanelle (47:19)
Yeah.
Can't look in his dreamy eyes. Can't look at the
La (47:22)
No
Chanelle (47:23)
six pack, but it's like, damn it, man. Now I'm like, you're already tied to the company. Then you're gonna have to look at your friend when you say Ridge is one of your close friends' face and be like, Yeah, I slept with your daughter. Like there's just too
La (47:35)
Yes.
Chanelle (47:35)
much. we in twenty twenty six at the moment. I just need storylines that don't completely have this bold and the beautiful Christmas wreath thing that goes on. It ain't a tree, it's a wreath.
If you ain't slept with one person, it's like six degrees, it's probably about two degrees of separation. Like you want the same one that Hope you just had Hope's leftovers. How does that make you feel, Steffy?
La (47:59)
Well,
here's the other thing. These people have had you both had an issue with your marriage. It was like a couple of hours. I could see if y'all have been going through this for months. Like, you know, Daphne and Carter just found out they can't have children like a couple weeks ago. Finn claimed that he understood Steffy's stance, but of course he's always waffling, just like Liam does.
The pinnacle of both of your marriages just happened. How you already ready to jump ship? There's not how much alcohol did y'all have?
Chanelle (48:30)
Why are you both so horny? Why are you both so horny? That is the question. Like
I need y'all to sleep it off and reflect. Reflect.
La (48:45)
Your hearts are broken. You're like in this awful state. And I know misery knows company, but why y'all gotta like I'm calm down? That's why I was like, why
Chanelle (48:53)
Like, heart's broken, but body's hot.
La (48:57)
didn't Steffy just go home? It's your home. Change the locks and make
Chanelle (49:00)
Hot bothered.
La (49:02)
sure Finn can't come in if that's what you need to do. But why you gotta go to the office?
Chanelle (49:08)
Again, it's the choices. while most soaps move so slow where it's like we get it, they're in love and they like each other. Like Bold and the beautiful I have to sometimes suspend the disbelief just to be like look. Okay, I so I'm like one, how long is the trip? Back from Monaco. Let's start there. Like, okay, you ain't tired. It's it's still night, okay. I'm I'm gonna
suspend disbelief and I'm just gonna go with this. Then I'm like, so not only you getting drunk at work, Carter, you didn't go home either. Like you
La (49:39)
Right.
Chanelle (49:40)
like is the is it open? Where's Charlie? We just we just having people it's not like you working. Like, what's going on?
La (49:47)
And that's what cracked me up because he drank all of Ridge's liquor in his office or Eric's, who'sever it is in that office, then went somewhere else and got more. I'm like, where did you go? Where is the stash at?
Chanelle (49:57)
Found the secret stash. Musta
went to the showroom. I don't know. Like it's just Ugh Ugh.
La (50:06)
So confused. But again, I have this massive fight with my spouse. And the first thing I do is look at the first human I see. Let's do this. No, no, no, no. I mean, mind you, they didn't
Chanelle (50:16)
Hot and bothered.
La (50:17)
do anything at the end of the show on Friday, but it gave all the indications. I hope they don't. I hope she sobers
Chanelle (50:22)
They better not. They better not like
La (50:25)
up enough to be like, whoa. One of them, one of them has some sense. Please.
Chanelle (50:28)
Like I just
I I don't want to call this one because it's just, you know, look, I'll even justify I I would justify sleeping
La (50:35)
You better go on and call it. They're gonna sleep together. They're gonna sleep together. You watch. It's gonna be gross.
Chanelle (50:40)
with Bill before I can justify sleeping with Carter. Again, man, it it's you took my company. You are married to my best friend. I'm drunk, you're drunk, and it still wouldn't happen. Like, what in the world?
La (50:54)
No. I mean, it's all all the all the elements are there for a massive mistake. It's coming. It's gonna suck.
Chanelle (51:01)
Yes. I still blame Sheila.
La (51:04)
It's it's all Sheila's fault. And Sheila member she's always saying, I'm gonna prove to Steffy that I've changed. You know what would have proved to me that you had changed if you had run after Steffy, begging her again.
Please don't blame Finn for this. This was my doing. Instead, she was like, ooh, sorry, Finn. I'm like, that's all you got?
Chanelle (51:22)
No, what she
would have changed would have been keep your butt at the airport. You didn't have to dip your eight toes in in international water.
La (51:28)
Correct. Or no, never have got on the plane. Yes,
you know. I mean, honestly, what she should have done is use that opportunity for Finn and Steffy to be gone to worm your way to see Hayes. Taylor
Chanelle (51:42)
Would have allowed it better.
La (51:44)
owes you. Deacon owes you. They're over there watching those children. Can I please, please, please just tell me where you're gonna be and I'll be there. Like if y'all are going to the park, if you're going to the pool.
I'll be there and just happen to run into them. Steffy can't blame you guys because I just happened to be there. At least that would give her some time with her grandson. But no, you wasted that opportunity and broke up a marriage. Good job.
Chanelle (52:11)
Yeah, and speaking of breaking up, even though they're still together and haven't broken up, the fact that the ink isn't completely even dry on the divorce papers, and you had Deacon whip out a ring and propose to Taylor and was surprised,
La (52:24)
yes, yeah.
Chanelle (52:27)
shocked I tell you, shocked that she was like, No, I'm good. I'm I'm I'm all
La (52:31)
Nah.
Chanelle (52:33)
right. Like last time she was in an engagement, she's the one who proposed and it didn't end too well.
And while the dressmaker might be a lot of things, I think the focus of why can't we just live in sin, enjoy each other, and have great sex, this might be that time where Taylor's like, now you're back to being a psychiatrist, are you? okay. I'm glad you got out of that depression or funk that you were in. But it's
La (52:57)
Yeah.
Chanelle (52:57)
like now you have Deacon being like, Well, why did I break up my marriage? Maybe because Taylor didn't want to be a side chick again. Maybe that's what. Just wanted to be picked first, but doesn't want to walk down the aisle.
La (53:08)
And that
is kind that kind of threw me the fact that he was like, I broke up my marriage so I can get married again. No, you broke up your marriage because you realize that Sheila isn't what makes you happy. Taylor is. But y'all again are in your, you know, midlife, later in life stage. You ain't got to get married no more. You don't have to. You can just common law it, you can just live together, y'all can just visit each other.
And like you said, have great sex, have time together, go on trips. But we don't have to say our do anymore to make it last forever. We can just be together.
Chanelle (53:43)
Again, I'm blaming Sheila, but I
also blame those two. All
La (53:49)
Yeah.
Chanelle (53:49)
of them. When you gotta parent your parent, I tell you, like this, Steffy been, she told Taylor. Told Taylor.
La (53:57)
She did tell Taylor and Taylor was just and that's the another thing. If I were Steffy, so you ended up ruining my marriage with this Sheila foolishness, and you're not even gonna marry Deacon. What is happening?
Chanelle (54:12)
It's like that's why cause Sheila is so lonely and says we owe her. I'd be like, Go go and knock on my mom's door. you speak in French and this is not what I need from you right now. I need Daphne to speak French. Like, no.
La (54:17)
What's this we, I don't owe you nothing. Yes, I don't need no, we don't need
you alone in the owing. I don't owe her nothing.
Chanelle (54:28)
And and that's what I need again, Finn to realize. It's like we were living life. Things were fine. I need this. What what ma'am? Stop.
La (54:38)
And let's point
out, for all that she has done, ain't been in prison for none of it.
Chanelle (54:45)
Again, what you need is the prayers.
La (54:46)
You could you could possibly
sell me on once a month and no holidays if she had but
Chanelle (54:53)
It's like secret lunch.
La (54:54)
if she had been in jail for 10, 15 years, but she won't in there 10, 15 minutes. No. Madam, no. When I shoot you and you almost die, then we're even. Until then,
Chanelle (55:08)
to think.
La (55:08)
no.
Chanelle (55:09)
Yeah, I mean the soap streets be talking about Steffy needs to get over it. I say, I'm sorry. I again, if you shoot me and you think that you killed my husband, I don't know if I was gonna be water under the bridge. And it's weird that everyone's like, she's not over it. I mean Sheila's changed though. J has she just because she didn't go killer on Taylor doesn't mean that she's all the way there. And I feel like this there we go.
La (55:34)
She's still stalking, she's still a stalker.
Chanelle (55:37)
And I think this is where we need Finn to realize, be like, my birth mama is crazy. This is what Steffy was afraid of. Maybe I should have heeded her warning. Stop cleaving to your mother.
La (55:49)
And again, even
if they do meet up again, when they do meet up again, Steffy and Finn, how am I supposed to believe you this time? Because you're gonna be saying the same BS you said before. Okay, Sheila will not be a part of our lives. That's what you said last time. And then in the same breath, but she has changed. You don't believe what you're saying. You're saying what you think I wanna hear.
She shot you too, man. She shot you too.
Chanelle (56:12)
Look, everybody keeps telling him, speak
up. Tell tell Steffy and and tell you Steffy how you feel. Again, happy life, happy wife, reflip it and reverse it. It's just this idea of why, Finn. Why? And he was getting a little dull, but when I want him to be spicy, it it's not with talking about your mama. Like I you're more than abs, Tanner. I try to believe it.
Some of the faces we'll get through it together, but I'm like damn it, man.
La (56:47)
You had one job, not to let Sheila mess up your vacation and you couldn't even handle that. So yeah, let's talk to a divorce lawyer, or at least separation. I need you to remember what you could lose. You don't seem to be convinced that you could lose me. Let's make that happen.
Chanelle (57:05)
Speaking losing stuff, let's head to Genoa City. I I can't even start with Nick because this week, Billy. Billy is losing his damn mind.
La (57:15)
That Bama, I hate him. I cannot stand him.
Chanelle (57:18)
Losing his damn mind. And again, we have this revelation of he might be on to something. He might have not completely messed up all of his chances. Because he finds in the archives.
This note, this note that basically says that way back when in the 70s, I think, wasn't even born yet, that we basically agree that the Abbotts helped the Chancellors out. And John Abbott being the just magnanimous friend that he is, gave money even before Katherine owned Chancellor, mind you. And
He had this caveat that if his money wasn't paid back, then Chancellor would be taken over by him, or if not him, the Abbott heirs. And with this, Billy's sunk in his mind that, if we're finding this, they probably didn't pay it back, which means I own everything. And I'm like, sir, even if it were the Abbotts to own this, you're not the only Abbott.
You're not the only heir. And right now we know that Josh is about to close this chapter in his career. And I'm like, if it doesn't come with Billy not being an Abbott because of all the foolishness that he has drudged up, then I'm like, then what is it made for? What's the purpose?
La (58:47)
I just need it explained to me why Jill, who again, like you said, this happened in the 70s. She was probably in her teens or college years, hadn't even heard of a chancellor or an Abbott. Why would she do everything she can to keep Billy from finding out this? And
how would it benefit her by making him not work at Chancellor? The reason why you don't work at Chancellor is because of your own doing, sir. You messed up so many times trying to find a bigger brass ring. And then you would lose Chancellor. And the way he came up, and I I love Cane and Lily. I am die hard for those two. But the fact that Cane feels so guilty for all that he's
Done by pretty much taking Jill's love. not that Jill doesn't love Billy, but Cane seems to be what she wished Billy was. Focused, not of course a grifter, but just a better man. A better focused man. And
He feels guilty for that. So to make up for it, he's like, Lily, please let me hire Billy. And in less than a couple days, Billy comes up with these shenanigans of I'ma do research and development for my own purpose. I'm gonna research until I go through every single old piece of documentation to prove that Jill is hiding something from me. And his proof.
Is some documents that he emailed Kyle and Jack. This proves that our father was never paid back. No, it proves that there was a document that there was a deal made, but you have no proof that it was never paid back. And I would like to know the statute of libertations on this document because both of the people who made it are dead. And
How long is it last? And again, do you have proof that the loan was not paid back? It was $20 million. You telling me that in the times that Jabot has been on hard times, that if John Abbott went to Katherine, she wouldn't give him 20 million? Or however much he needed? If she now owning the company before she passed, had a bill and he needed that money.
John would have gone to her and she would have given it to him, no questions asked, probably with interest. So honestly, if Jack and Kyle really want to stick it to Billy, they should go to Lily and Cane and be like, get Devon to give us 20 million, or however much it would be now. However much the with the interest would be. Give us that, Chancellor is yours, and just sell it from under Billy. If you're not gonna make him not an Abbott, sell it from under him and be like, we're done.
Because the cocky
Chanelle (1:01:50)
It really is.
La (1:01:51)
the cockiness he did going into Society and Lily was like, cut him loose. Cane, he never gonna be right. Cane is like, I really wanna try to make this work. And they toasted to him, to Billy, he's gonna do better. And Billy comes in just so cocky. what are y'all toasting?
And they're like, we're toasting you and all the great things you're gonna do at Chancellor. And he's like, I respect you, Lily. And I respect you, Cane, but Chancellor is mine. And I'm like, no, it's not. Because Jack and Kyle were just discussing, we need to talk to Ashley and Traci about what we're gonna do if this is real. And Billy has already pushed those four people to the side and is like, it's mine.
I want it. You two are fired. I'm like, see, this is why. You got Sally already gone. She said she's on a visit, but is it a permanent visit? Is she gonna have the baby without him? At this rate, when she comes back, she thought things were bad when she left. They're 10 times worse now. I don't know if that wedding's
Chanelle (1:02:58)
That's true.
La (1:02:59)
gonna happen in October. I don't know if she wants to be saddled with that.
Chanelle (1:03:03)
I said as Gollum Chancellor is his precious and Billy just is not the brightest when it comes to business. And that's alliteration for a lot of people who don't know that Billy's not bright when it comes to business. I just don't know why am I being forced to deal with him in his foolishness and just to create this. Yeah.
La (1:03:26)
And obsession. What does Chancellor
have that he has to have it?
Chanelle (1:03:31)
It's like your brother gave you a completely new company and you gave it away for nothing and now you are using company time and money t to go on this expedition to kick the people who gave you the new opportunity out. I don't like it. Don't like it at all.
La (1:03:51)
Not just that,
Lily got already too much on her plate because Devon has decided he wants to do a college for the arts in his father's name, Winters College or University, and that will help him focus on it's a hard knock life being a billionaire. Here's where I want to spend my money. Okay, but I'm still gonna be on the board of Winters, and I'm still gonna be a part of the music scene that the Winters division has.
But I'm also gonna create this college real quick. Then you have Nate. You know what? I think I need to be a surgeon again. So they're both leaving her, and she's gonna have to be in charge of Winters. And in an ideal world, if she hadn't put Cane in charge of Chancellor, he could probably be by her side working with Winters, but he got his own demons, and the name is Billy. So now they're gonna have to fight.
To make sure Billy can't get his hands on Chancellor. he's a problem child. And Jill just needs to fess up. What is the real secret, if any? If any. Because this man heard two words and he's like, obviously she said the word complexity. That means she's holding a decades-long secret. No, sir. That means you just hearing what you want to hear.
Chanelle (1:05:13)
I'm over him. An
La (1:05:14)
Over
Chanelle (1:05:15)
and another legacy son I'm just disappointed in. I'm not over him, but I am over his foolishness is Nicholas. Narcotics Nick on his bender.
La (1:05:28)
Not only on a bender, it must be a soap thing, because I don't care how dismal your life is, you still gonna get some. And he thought he was being Billy Bad. He goes to the motel instead of going back to rehab. He has this terrible dream where he, you know, he did wrong and somehow he had left some of the fentanyl out and
Connor got it and died, so then he had to live with that. And he just had bad dreams. He's been having bad dreams. Yes, yes.
Chanelle (1:05:58)
Yeah. It was a not so wonderful life for him. And the fact that
you had Matt Clark as your angel of
La (1:06:06)
Yes. That's only
because the only reason that worked is because Roger did it.
Chanelle (1:06:11)
Pretty much. It really is.
La (1:06:13)
So after this terrible ride down what could be as if if he continues being a drugie, he is like, I'm gonna take these pills and throw them in the toilet. What he didn't realize is he had a bunch of pills in his order. And under the covers was another set, and he was like, dang, I gotta take these. I'm like, or you could take those to the toilet. It wasn't that far. Instead, he takes them. He also gets a visitor, a next door lady who heard him screaming when he was having his not so wonderful life dream. And she's like, You all right?
And he's like, I'm good. I'm just, you know, I had a nightmare. I'm sorry if I disturbed you. Well, you got anything to help take the edge off? And he's like, I don't know what you're talking about. She's like, Bruh, we both in the same skeevy hotel. We both know what happens here. And he kicked her out, but then he brought her back and they did drugs together and they are high as high can be.
And one thing leads to another, and he proceeds to kiss, make out, have sex, get hepatitis A through Z from this woman, because he don't know her from Adam. And then he decides, my gosh, what have I done? This is crazy. She laying next to him. Now I knew instantaneously that this woman had overdosed. Because when he got up, she didn't turn over, she didn't move positions. He washed his face, she didn't move. He got dressed.
She didn't move. This man wrote a letter. She never flinched. And then he goes to say goodbye to her and there's no pulse. I was like, there we go, people. She'd been dead for like 10 minutes. He does CPR on the bed, brings her back to life, and she's like, Why don't you just let me die?
he's like, I gotta call nine one one. She was like, Call nine one one. They're gonna bring my husband into this. Why did you do this to me? And eventually he does call the EMTs and for some reason the EMTs only took her. You would think they would take him too because you sir were also doing drugs.
Chanelle (1:08:15)
Or had the police ask some questions 'cause I'm like, sir.
La (1:08:17)
Right. They literally just
took her and let it go. I guess they've been to that motel way too many times. But after that scare and, you know, again, self-reflection on how low he sank, he calls Sharon. And that woman should have sent a ride share. I would not go to this godforsaken motel like looking like the Bates Motel. But she goes and he just grabs onto her crying.
She's like, I will take you to rehab, and she takes him back. And she comes back to Crimson Lights and Mariah's there. She's like, what happened? She's like, girl, he's in a rough spot right now. Nick didn't realize that you could what I establish that she recognizes that he doesn't know what hard work is. He really doesn't. He is
Chanelle (1:09:09)
He doesn't.
La (1:09:09)
under the impression that I got money.
I found a nice place to go to get done and I should be done by now. He's impatient and he's unrealistic. He didn't know the hardships of recovery, despite watching his mother go through it number of times. She's relapsed and everything. But that was her. That's not him. even the Marie, the druggy that he saved was like, You got some kind of hero complex or something. And he was like, I've been told that a lot. I'm like, maybe you should listen.
So he goes to rehab, he goes back and he was like, Maybe I can't recover. Maybe I like not having, to save everybody and just, you know, let myself fall. Maybe I'm just meant to be like this. And then Marie comes in and she's like, or maybe you just save a life. And so that gives him the boost that he needs to be like, I do need to work the program.
And he's like, Are you gonna join? And she's like, I ain't say all that. I just said that I'ma see what this group session is about real quick. So for the time being, he is there. But unfortunately his absence has awakened something in Adam because he's like, I had to talk to Christian and we're under the impression now that Christian is a teenager and
Chanelle (1:10:24)
Yeah.
La (1:10:24)
his father is not there. He knows what's up with his dad. Apparently they had a talk. And Christian is like, Is my dad gonna die?
And Adam is like, I don't know. If he can't get his act right, he might. And Adam is really rethinking, should I have given Christian to Nick now? Because he is a hot mess. Even though he's always been the responsible one compared to me, he's, you know, rock bottom now. And my son is at a pivotal age that he needs a father figure and maybe it's gonna be me. And Chelsea is like, you know, slow down.
Nick has always been good to Christian. We can watch out for him, but don't try to take him. And then Nick Nikki is also concerned about Adam maybe being too much in Christian's life now that Nick is incapacitated pretty much, not available. And Victoria's like, I got my eye on Adam. He ain't taking that boy back. And I'm like, okay, there could be a fight, a custody fight.
Chanelle (1:11:28)
just again all the things we've been through I'm trying to dissect which will continue on after Josh leaves and I know that he can't completely be healed in a day or two but I'm like Nick do I have to go through Thanksgiving and Christmas with you still fiending for fentanyl? I hope not. I really hope
La (1:11:51)
Yeah.
Chanelle (1:11:53)
not and then it's like now you brought this
undeterred woman to my doorstep and I'm like, Marie, you really weren't needed. I really don't want you and your sob story coming up, funking up Genoa City for me. I I just got rid of Sienna. Like what who are these women? Harpo who this woman? Like and why do I need to care? I don't know.
La (1:12:17)
I don't know.
I don't know, but
Chanelle (1:12:21)
But I will tell you something I will care about though.
La (1:12:22)
Yeah.
Chanelle (1:12:25)
You were right. You called it with Victoria and dun dun dun You gonna say? There you go.
La (1:12:35)
Kyle. I told you. I told
even Jack. Even Jack was like, what's all this? What's all this? You check it on,
Chanelle (1:12:41)
The conversations, the the close look.
La (1:12:44)
you check it on Victoria? Now you don't want to go after Victor because Victoria said that y'all the next generation and we need to be better? Victoria, you say, she has influence on you? No, we just mm-hmm. I was like, mm-hmm. When she were crying
Kyle was like, Nick will come back. You'll be able to find him. And he's like, got her in his arms, and she just a weeping. And then you lean back a little bit and y'all looking at each other's eyes And I tell you, a kiss would have happened if Jack hadn't come back. Hey, I'm gonna go to dinner with Diane. Y'all wanna come? And you see them both like, ugh. I was like, mm-hmm. Yes, it's coming. It's coming.
Now, how are we gonna handle it? I don't know, but it's coming. What better way to do a truce between the Abbotts and the Newmans than to have another relationship between an Abbott and a Newman. But this one will be racier because you got Victoria the Cougar, you got Kyle the Cub, and you got a man who has dated this woman's daughter. And
was married to her niece. I mean like
Chanelle (1:14:01)
Yeah.
La (1:14:02)
you said, the wreath is real.
Chanelle (1:14:04)
I am in a glass case of emotion for this soapy semi relationship. And I feel like I might be a hypocrite because I at least find interest in Kyle and Victoria compared to Noah and Xienna. And I'm like, is it me? Am I going through the change? I don't know, but I'm like, I I'm here to see what what develops from this and how Claire considers.
La (1:14:30)
Think it will be very interesting because
they have a lot to debate. Like Victoria has to I've been with an Abbott before in Billy. I you know Kyle is so much younger. My dad will be furious, and you know how Victoria loves to keep her dad happy. Claire,
Chanelle (1:14:50)
Claire, you're
La (1:14:52)
how do I look my daughter in the eye knowing that we've slept with the same man? Like, ooh. So there's a lot. Like
let's just say there's a possibility with the new writers coming in that we may get to the cusp of it. They might sober up before and be like, Mm, this might not be the
Best idea. or it just may take a long time. I would love for it to really take a minute. Don't rush it. But it's either gonna be they are going to come to their senses and be like, we can't do this, it's too much, or they're going to see it for what we see it as and be like, this could work if we played our cards right. we can't go public.
immediately we gotta see what we can see because no need in ruffling feathers if this ain't something other than just a a little tryst But it's the writing was on the wall for me instantly. I was like, this is this is a situation.
Chanelle (1:15:52)
Danger Will Robinson.
La (1:15:54)
Yeah.
All right, well that concludes this week's edition of Lather Up with La.
